Pharmacotherapy is used, overused and abused for mental illnesses around the world. This of course doesn’t mean that medication shouldn’t be used, on the contrary; however it does mean that taking medication one should take very seriously.

Medication can be helpful therapeutic tool but in most cases it is not a sole answer to mental disorder. Meds are like fire, they are very good servant but merciless master. This is why they should never be abused or misused in any way.

Natural supplements can be a substitute for medication however for this to happen, one should not take them on their own but under professional supervision. Just because natural supplements are natural that doesn’t mean that they are harmless and that they should be taken lightly.

Family and friends support can be an important part of social anxiety disorder help, provided that family members and close friends know how to provide an appropriate support. This they can learn in family therapy or in family counseling. This type of counseling is very important because many people don’t know how to support their loved one in need.

Good intentions are not enough. If one wants to help someone they have to know how to do it first. This is because they can do more harm than good if they are ignorant to essential information or the way they should behave around an ill person and support him or her.

It is not unusual that family members with good intentions make a depressed person even more depressed or in general deepen their loved one’s disorder because they don’t know the appropriate way to help him or her.
